The Aranea Jar

The jar came from a warm seep during the Northern Survey. It has neither cooled visibly nor heated its surroundings as much as a steady source should. Mira Pell insists on measuring both claims before calling it inexhaustible. Iri Pell’s drawings show its shadow at a different angle from nearby objects, introducing time as a possible variable.
Its role in the current crisis connects ordinary work to the larger dispute over who benefits, who pays and who is allowed to describe what happened.
