Breaking of the Measures
A public calibration failed the prince’s own treaty stones and made compensation unavoidable.
What happened
The demonstration reproduced cold conditions without using a human heat source. Several stones passed the warm test and failed the cold one. Cael agreed the result could be published before anyone calculated its financial consequences. The warm jar remained unexplained, refusing to behave like either an ordinary success or a convenient fraud.
