Connect your maps to your lore
Bring a map you already own and turn its locations into connected entries.
Export an image from your mapping tool
Use PNG, JPEG or WebP. Realmly accepts map images up to 20 MB and 100 megapixels. Keep the editable source file in your original tool: an image export flattens its terrain and layers.
Import it into your world
Open your world’s import tools and find Bring your own map. Choose or drag in the image, check its preview and name, then select Import map and add pins. Wait for the upload and save to finish.
Link places instead of duplicating them
On the imported map, add a pin and connect it to an existing lore entry. Create an entry first when a location has no article yet. A city map and a regional map can refer to the same city record.
Check the connection in both directions
Open a pin, inspect its linked article, and return to the map. Reopen the world to confirm the pin position saved. Use clear pin names and image descriptions so your world is easier to navigate.
Keep a portable copy
Use Realmly’s backup tools to retain a copy of the world and its assets. Keep the original map artwork as well. A backup is different from a flattened picture of the map: both are useful for different purposes.
