Essra Sere
Essra designed mirror shutters that can be operated by a single exhausted keeper.
The person
Essra designed mirror shutters that can be operated by a single exhausted keeper. She knows a tower could not accidentally show the colors described in the official disaster report. She has kept the prototype shutter in her workshop. Giving it to investigators would contradict her husband’s testimony without requiring a single accusation.
Place in the family
Their children are Ilyra Sere and Ossa Sere. Family authority does not settle the disagreement described above.
Ilyra won the convenership by reopening winter supply routes.
Ossa left command school for the Gableclay kilns, preferring vessels whose failures could be tested.
The Sere family supplies pilots and signal officers to the League of Lanterns.
Vaelor signed the order that darkened the towers, claiming the ports could not feed more arrivals.
Eastern rescue lights were deliberately darkened while refugee vessels waited offshore.
Hedra records the sound of furnace valves by making notches in a wooden flute.
