The Tidemark Accord · Curated example · Read only
Before the Ninth Bell
Bring evidence and a workable alternative to the vote that could flood a district.
Recover the complete Tide Ledger, accompany the Third Sounding Crew through the exposed channels, and establish whether a new overflow route can be cut without destroying the ray nurseries. Each task benefits from different allies; none requires treating a shore’s people as enemies.
The vote is not a binary choice between saving a city and abandoning it. Players or protagonists can propose a staged repair, a new basin, temporary relocation with enforceable guarantees, or a delay funded by the three shores. The ending should reflect who was heard and which costs were honestly accepted.
Nine seats, three constituencies, and no power to command a private fleet.
Six surveyors trusted to come back with inconvenient measurements.
An engineering record disguised as a book of harbor debts.
Three shores share one sea, and none can afford to let it fall silent.
A city built around the harbor bell whose silence everyone fears.
Estuary towns that lend ships freely and remember debts precisely.
